Our Story
It started, as most great things do, with one plant and a lot of mistakes.
Maya brought home her first Monstera on a rainy Tuesday in autumn, convinced it would thrive in the dim corner of her living room. Within three weeks the leaves were yellowing, the soil was a mystery, and she was deep in a rabbit hole of contradictory advice from a dozen different websites. Some said water every day. Others said water once a month. Nobody seemed to agree on anything.
That frustration turned into obsession. Maya spent the next year learning everything she could about houseplants reading, experimenting, killing a few plants along the way, and slowly building a collection that now fills every room of her home. What she discovered was that plant care does not have to be complicated. Most plants just need a few simple things done consistently and they will reward you generously.
Sophie joined the journey a year later, bringing her background in interior styling and her passion for creating homes that feel alive and intentional. Together they launched Plantify Living with one simple goal to create the plant resource they both wished had existed when they were just getting started.
Our Philosophy
We believe that plant care should feel joyful, not stressful. There is a lot of noise online about the perfect watering schedule, the ideal humidity level, and the exact soil mixture your plant supposedly needs to survive. While some of that detail can be helpful, it can also make plant parenthood feel like a test you are constantly failing.
Our approach is different. We focus on understanding your plant what it naturally needs, where it comes from, and how to read the signals it gives you. Once you understand those basics, confident plant care becomes second nature. You stop second-guessing every yellow leaf and start actually enjoying your collection.
We also believe strongly in honesty. We will tell you when a plant is genuinely difficult. We will share our own mistakes openly. We will recommend products we actually use and trust, and we will always be transparent when a post contains affiliate links or sponsored content. Your trust means everything to us and we will never compromise it.
